Andersen joins UNO as legal partner for logistics

UNO, the Spanish business association for logistics and transport operators, has brought Andersen on board as a collaborating partner to strengthen specialised legal support for companies in the sector. The agreement, signed by Francisco Aranda, president of UNO, and José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, covers employment law, corporate taxation, compliance, sustainability, and regulatory matters.

UNO represents logistics and transport operators, a sector accounting for 7% of Spain’s GDP, managing over one billion shipments annually — equivalent to five million tonnes per year — and employing more than one million workers.

Agreement scope

Under the collaboration, both organisations will work together on initiatives aimed at improving understanding of the sector’s regulatory framework, including the preparation of reports on labour trends, tax impact, and new regulatory requirements affecting logistics companies. The partnership is designed to help logistics operators anticipate risks and manage their main regulatory challenges with greater legal certainty.

Francisco Aranda noted that the logistics sector operates in an increasingly complex regulatory environment, with growing national and European legislation directly affecting daily operations, and that access to internationally minded experts has become a strategic factor for the sector’s competitiveness, given the direct impact of taxation, employment law, and sustainability on business activity.

José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, stated: “The logistics sector is essential to the Spanish economy and to the daily functioning of businesses and citizens. Its evolution is shaped by growing regulatory, labour, tax, technological, and environmental complexity, which demands specialised advice and a cross-cutting view of the business.
