Andersen expands Barcelona Team with Iolanda Latorre

Andersen has announced the addition of Iolanda Latorre as counsel to its Corporate Law department in Barcelona, marking another strategic step in bolstering its presence in this key market. The Barcelona office, led by Juan Ignacio Alonso, now boasts a team of nearly 40 professionals following recent hires including José Ignacio Gelpí (Labor Law partner), Stella Raventós (Tax of counsel), and Dimitri Sierra (M&A counsel).

With over 30 years of experience, Latorre brings a wealth of expertise to Andersen, particularly in corporate and sports law. Her career includes leadership roles in national and international companies, and in 2011, she joined the management team of the Barcelona Sports Institute, a department of the Barcelona City Council. In 2015, she founded her own firm specializing in corporate law, sports law, and compliance.

In addition to her legal practice, Latorre is an active educator, serving as a professor at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE) and coordinating PIMEC Sports, among other roles.

José Vicente Morote, Managing Partner at the firm, commented: “The addition of Iolanda Latorre aligns perfectly with our strategy of prioritizing quality and specialization. Her expertise reinforces our capabilities in a crucial market for Andersen Iberia.”

Juan Ignacio Alonso, Partner and Director of Andersen’s Barcelona office, added: “The growth of our firm in Barcelona has been outstanding, and with professionals like Iolanda, we are advancing towards our goal of becoming a reference firm in Barcelona and Catalonia.”

This move underscores Andersen’s commitment to enhancing its team with top-tier talent, further solidifying its position as a leading law firm in the region.
