Andersen bolsters Bilbao litigation with Rebeca Larena
Andersen has incorporated Rebeca Larena as counsel into the procedural and litigation area of its Bilbao office. Larena brings experience in civil and commercial litigation and mediation, as well as in defending corporate and individual clients in judicial proceedings and complex arbitrations.
José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, said: “Her incorporation responds to our strategic approach to reinforcing the firm’s capabilities in complex matters, bringing in talent that provides specialisation, experience and a strategic vision in defending our clients’ interests.”
Rebeca Larena has 19 years of experience and holds a law degree from the University of Deusto, in addition to a degree in Philosophy and a postgraduate qualification in Praxis and Ethics from the same institution. The new counsel combines her litigation practice with work on professional deontology, and she also teaches Procedural Law and Procedural Strategies as a guest lecturer on the Master’s programme for access to the legal and procurator professions run by the Pedro Ibarreche School of Legal Practice and the University of Deusto. She has also published work related to professional deontology and procedural law.
Sharon Izaguirre, partner and head of Andersen Iberia’s northern office, said: “The incorporation of Rebeca represents a key reinforcement for our team in Bilbao. Her profile fits fully with our growth model based on technical excellence and client proximity, and will allow us to continue consolidating our position in the local market.”
