Alex Massaguer, new partner of Auren Legal in Barcelona

Auren has appointed Alex Massaguer as a new partner of Auren Legal in its Barcelona office, with the aim of strengthening the firm’s tax practice. With more than 17 years of professional experience in the tax field, he joins from Barcelona Advocats i Assessors, where he had been serving as partner and head of the tax department.

Massaguer holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s in Tax Advisory and Taxation from the Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF), and a postgraduate degree in Customs Law. Alongside his professional work, Alex has been an associate professor at the University of Barcelona since 2022, lecturing in Corporate Taxation, and since 2017 he has been a lecturer at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (AEDAF) and the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).

Following this appointment, Auren Legal’s Barcelona office now has seven partners: Josep María Bargalló, Daniel Aroca, Josefina Huelmo, Lluís Basart, José Luis de la Cruz and Alfons Companys, now joined by Alex Massaguer.
