Alantra instructs Cuatrecasas on €99m sale of Probos

Cuatrecasas advised Alantra Private Equity on the sale of Probos Group to Surteco SE for €99 million.

 

Portugal-headquartered Probos Group manufactures plastic materials for the furniture industry. It has a workforce of around 470 employees.

In 2016, Probos Group’s sales totalled €66.5 million.

Surteco manufactures plastic materials and generated sales of €639.8 million in 2016. It employs 2,800 people.

The cross-border transaction – covering Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Brazil – was led by Cuatrecasas partner Francisco J. Martínez Maroto and lawyer Pedro López Doriga.

The Cuatrecasas team in Portugal was led by the managing partner of the firm’s Porto office Filipe Avides Moreira.
