Addleshaw Goddard advises Generali Real Estate on leasing in Madrid
Addleshaw Goddard has advised Generali Real Estate, a subsidiary of Generali Investments, on a landmark leasing agreement with the hotel group Radisson for a prestigious property located at Calle Alcalá 21, in the heart of Madrid. This milestone deal will pave the way for the opening of the first Radisson Collection luxury hotel in Spain’s capital following an extensive refurbishment of the property.
The transaction was led by José Antonio Calleja, Partner in the Real Estate Department, alongside Pilar Lorenzo, Senior Associate in the same practice.
Set to open in 2027, the hotel is poised to enhance Madrid’s standing as a global destination for luxury tourism. Covering a total area of 8,500 square meters, the property, located in one of Madrid’s most exclusive areas near Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía, will feature 154 rooms and suites spread across 12 floors, along with premium amenities such as a spa, a heated swimming pool, and a variety of upscale bars and restaurants.
