AdCE announces integration of Lencastre Advogados

Antas da Cunha Ecija has announced the integration of Lencastre Advogados, a firm based in Oporto 

pjimage 1Two years after the integration of Vieira Advogados and 10 months after the incorporation of Jorge Carneiro & Associados to its corporate structure, Antas da Cunha Ecija announces a new merger in the north.

The firm chaired by Fernando Antas da Cunha incorporates Lencastre Advogados, a firm based in Oporto with almost 40 years of activity, specialising in the areas of Litigation and Insurance Law. With this merger, Antas da Cunha Ecija’s Oporto office now has 24 lawyers and 4 administrative staff, making it one of the largest and most specialised law firms in Oporto.

Fernando Antas da Cunha (pictured left), managing partner of Antas da Cunha Ecija, said: “We are very excited about this integration, which not only gives prestige to the firm but to the firm in general”. And he added: “In recent months, our Litigation area has registered a very expressive growth, especially in the northern area, both in terms of volume of work and in terms of complexity of the matters entrusted to us. The integration of Lencastre Advogados comes naturally, as it is a firm with recognised experience in this specific area, especially in the field of civil litigation and insurance law”.

Filipa Lencastre (pictured right) joins the firm as of counsel. With almost a decade and a half of experience, she focuses her practice in the areas of Litigation, Family Law, Labour Law and Compliance. She graduated from the Catholic University of Portugal – Porto Regional Centre (Pole Foz). She has 3 courses from the Centro de Ordem dos Advogados (Porto District): Labour Procedural Law, Corporate Law and Bankruptcy Law. Company Law and Insolvency Law.

Commenting on the integration, Filipa said: “It was an invitation we could not refuse. In addition to Filipa Lencastre, the following people have joined the firm: Ana Luísa Neves (senior associate), Márcia Rodrigues (senior associate), Cristina Santos Sancho (senior associate), Sofia Rothes Barbosa Rothes Barbosa (senior associate), António Lencastre (associate), Rita Carvalho de Sousa (trainee) and Carla Matos (commercial team).

With this integration, the firm led by Fernando Antas da Cunha now has a team of 11 partners and 71 lawyers.
