Abreu advises EXMceuticals on cannabis license

Abreu Advogados advised EXMceuticals on obtaining its first cannabis-based pharmaceutical research and development license

According to the firm, this is the first R&D license for Cannabis-based pharmaceuticals issued in Portugal and it facilitates the importation, research and refinement processes of cannabinoids and byproducts in the national territory.

EXMceuticals is currently beginning the process of building and upgrading a refining station in Portugal that meets European norms. The company expects it to be completed, operational and fully licensed before the end of the first quarter of 2020.
