Abante promotes three to partner

Financial Advisory and Wealth Management firm Abante has promoted three directors to partner: Álvaro Menéndez (Financial Advisory), Jaime Aguilar (Wealth Management) and Javier Alonso (Product Development and Management)

Álvaro Menéndez (pictured left) holds a degree in Law and a Master´s degree in Stock Exchange and Financial Markets from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB). He began his career at Banco Espirito Santo (Novo Banco) in 2008 and a year later he joined Abante as a financial advisor. In 2010 he obtained the EFA certification from the European Financial Advisors Association.

Jaime Aguilar (pictured centre) holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master´s degree in Financial Markets from the Instituto de Estudio Bursátiles. He is a European Financial Advisor and Registered Life Planner by the Kinder Institute in London. He worked for a year in Brussels in the Financial Department of Grupo Modelo and for six years at ING Asset Finance, as a senior product specialist. In 2012, he started working at Abante as a financial advisor, before joining the Wealth Advisory team.

Javier Alonso (pictured rght) holds a degree in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and began his professional career in key account management at Telefónica Publicidad e Información (TPI) in 2005. In 2006 he joined the international securities department of the Spanish Confederation of Savings Banks (CECA) and since March 2007 he has been working at Abante as director of product development and operations.

This brings the number of executive partners of the Financial Advisory and Wealth Management firm to 21, from the initial 4 who founded the company 20 years ago.

Abante, which will be 20 years old in March 2022, started as a project with 4 founding partners and has been consolidating over the last two decades as a benchmark in the Financial Advisory and Wealth Management sector. Abante currently has 176 professionals, following the incorporation of the C2 Asesores team, a firm that joined the group in 2020 as part of the company’s expansion and growth plan. In the coming months, and following the agreement signed in January 2021, the professionals of 360ºCorA will also join the company, whose integration will take place once the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has given its formal authorisation.
