Dentons advises lenders on CSG €3B refinancing
Dentons has advised a syndicate of banks together with GLAS on the amendment and restatement of the senior financing arrangements of Czechoslovak Group (CSG), a defence and industrial technology group headquartered in Prague, in a transaction representing financing of approximately €3 billion.
The firm acted for a syndicate whose Global Coordinators were BNP Paribas, Société Générale, Komerční banka and UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, together with GLAS acting as agent and security agent under the facilities. The transaction involved the restructuring of a complex framework under which multiple facilities, supported by different lender groups, are governed through an intercreditor agreement, and required the release of extensive security arrangements across several jurisdictions.
CSG is listed on Euronext Amsterdam and recently received investment-grade status, with operations spanning the defence and security, automotive and aerospace sectors in Europe, the United States and India.
Cross-Border Team
In Spain, the transaction was led by banking and finance partner Jabier Badiola, together with counsel Ignacio Fernández. The Spanish team formed part of a cross-border Dentons group spanning the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Italy, Slovakia, Germany and the United States, coordinated from Prague by partner Daniel Hurych.
