Abreu Advogados advises SKK on KoolSys-LFB deal
Abreu Advogados has advised SKK – Central de Distribuição para Refrigeração e Climatização, in connection with LFB Group’s strategic investment in SKK Manufacturing, the Portuguese company operating under the KoolSys name and brand. LFB Group is a portfolio company of Syntagma Capital.
KoolSys designs and manufactures transcritical CO₂ refrigeration systems for commercial and industrial applications and has been a partner and supplier of Friga-Bohn, LFB Group’s refrigeration brand, since 2023. The investment marks a new stage in the companies’ collaboration, combining KoolSys’ expertise in CO₂ systems with Friga-Bohn’s product portfolio, industrial expertise and commercial reach.
By joining LFB Group’s portfolio alongside Redge, Friga-Bohn, APX DCS and Hydronic, KoolSys gains additional resources to expand its presence in European markets and to develop refrigeration and HVAC solutions. KoolSys will continue to operate with its current team while gaining access to LFB Group’s industrial resources, commercial network and market expertise. Friga-Bohn and KoolSys share the goal of developing more efficient and reliable refrigeration solutions and offering clients more comprehensive solutions.
