WFW advises Elawan on €760M renewables financing
Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) has advised Elawan Energy on the structuring and implementation of two portfolio financing facilities, referred to as Himalaya, with a combined value of approximately €760m. The syndicate of lenders on the transaction was advised by Clifford Chance.
WFW’s mandate covered all aspects of the transaction, including the negotiation of the financing documentation, the review and negotiation of key project agreements, and a regulatory analysis of the portfolio and associated development assets. The firm also advised on and coordinated the repayment and release of nine existing financing facilities that were refinanced as part of the transaction.
