WFW advises CIP, Arjun on Monegros refinancing

Watson Farley & Williams has advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Arjun Infrastructure Partners (Arjun) on the €380 million refinancing of the Monegros wind portfolio, an onshore wind platform located in Aragón, Spain.

The portfolio comprises 12 operational wind farms with a combined installed capacity of 487 MW. The financing was granted by Banco Santander and BNP Paribas and will support the portfolio’s ongoing operation.

The team

The cross-border WFW Energy team advising CIP and Arjun was led by Banking & Finance partner José María Anarte, supported by Senior Associate Jacobo Hermidas and Associates Sara Estradera and Cristina Álvarez. The team worked alongside Regulatory partner Lidia Fernández and Corporate partner Javier Ruffín, together with London-based Financial Markets & Products partner Rob McBride and Associate Ambrose lp, who advised on matters of English derivatives law.
