Freshfields hires Pablo González Mosqueira for PE in Spain

Freshfields has brought in Pablo González Mosqueira as a partner in Madrid to head the firm’s private equity practice in Spain. The hire strengthens the firm’s M&A and Capital group, which is focused on expanding its footprint in the European private equity market.

The appointment comes after the exit of Armando Albarrán to Gibson Dunn.

González Mosqueira brings broad experience in private capital transactions, as well as in public and private M&A and corporate law, advising both domestic and international clients.

Bosco Montejo, managing partner of the Madrid office, noted that González Mosqueira‘s strategic approach to private equity transactions and his collaborative vision for business development make him a strong addition to the Madrid team.

David Franco, head of M&A and Capital in Madrid, said that the appointment accelerates the firm’s continued growth in the European private equity market, and that González Mosqueira‘s track record and deep knowledge of the Spanish market will be of significant value to the global team as it continues to support clients in their most complex transactions.
