Abreu names two new partners in round of 14 promotions

Abreu Advogados has announced a new round of internal promotions, elevating 14 lawyers across multiple practice areas. The Portuguese firm promoted Mariana Gouveia de Oliveira and Diogo Orvalho to partner, strengthening its tax and employment practices respectively. At the associated partner level, Telma Varelas, Mariana Duarte, and Luís Froes — all from litigation & arbitration — and João Lupi, from finance, have been promoted from senior associate.

Eight associates have been elevated to senior associate: Cláudia Ribeiro da Silva (employment), Benedita Marques Pombo (corporate and M&A), Margarida Bernardino (criminal, sanctions and compliance), Manuel André Martins (tax), Liliana dos Santos Soares (tax), Francisca Salgado da Costa (private clients & family business), Manuel Santiago (real estate), and Francisco Côrte-Real (litigation & arbitration).
