Sérvulo advises Estoril Sol on casino concession
Sérvulo & Associados has advised Grupo Estoril Sol on the transfer of the gaming concession of Casino da Póvoa de Varzim to Groupe Barrière, a French operator in the European gaming and hospitality sector.
The operation forms part of the broader reorganisation of Portugal’s gaming concession map and represents one of the most significant concession transitions in the sector in recent years. Sérvulo’s mandate covered the structuring of the legal and financial framework for the transition, coordination with regulatory authorities, and negotiation of the terms governing the transfer of operational assets, employment relationships, contractual positions, and liabilities vis-à-vis the granting State.
