Afianza Legal hires tax partner Miguel Ángel Araque

Afianza Legal has strengthened its tax practice with the appointment of Miguel Ángel Araque Salmerón as partner in its Madrid office.

Specialised in corporate income tax, international taxation and tax procedures, Araque also has extensive experience in tax consolidation, restructuring transactions and due diligence.

Commenting on the move, Araque said he was attracted by the firm’s “solid and ambitious project” and aims to contribute his experience to deliver high-quality, strategic advice to clients.

The profile

Araque brings over 25 years of experience advising national and international clients on tax matters. He joins from Forvis Mazars, where he became a partner in 2014, having previously worked at IBM and Landwell–PwC.
