DLA Piper advises CapitaLand on €124M logistics acquisition in Spain

DLA Piper has advised CapitaLand Ascendas REIT Management Limited and HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited, as the manager and trustee of CapitaLand Ascendas REIT, on the acquisition of a logistics portfolio comprising six assets located in Madrid and Catalonia, for an approximate value of €124 million.

The transaction marks CapitaLand Ascendas REIT’s entry into the Spanish logistics market and forms part of its international expansion strategy through investments in high-quality assets and strategic locations with high demand.

The multidisciplinary and multijurisdictional team was led by José María Oliva, real estate partner in Madrid, and was supported by professionals from various offices of the firm, including Spain and the UK, such as Alejandro Márquez (senior associate) and Rodrigo Iglesias (associate).
