Pinsent Masons advises Huel on deal with Danone
Pinsent Masons has advised long-standing client Huel on its landmark transaction with global food and beverage group Danone.
The firm acted for founder Julian Hearn, Highland Europe as Huel’s lead institutional investor, and the senior management team on the sale, as well as advising the continuing management team on their reinvestment.
The team
The Pinsent Masons team was jointly led by head of retail and consumer Tom Leman and corporate partner Ben Elliott, supported by senior associate Samantha Treleaven and associate Peter O’Connell. The transaction required coordinated input across tax, employee incentives and competition, with contributions from Peter Morley, James Sullivan Tailyour, and Paul Williams alongside Alex Stratakis.
The firm’s Legal Project Management team was embedded from the outset, supporting delivery through technology-enabled processes and allowing lawyers to focus on strategic aspects of the deal.
