Fórum Penal elects new governing bodies for 2026–2027 term
The General Assembly of Fórum Penal – Associação de Advogados Penalistas, held on 17 March in Portugal, elected the association’s new governing bodies for the 2026–2027 term. The new board of directors will be chaired by Dirce Rente (partner and head of the criminal, regulatory and compliance team at Eversheds Sutherland), with Inês Almeida Costa (coordinating associate in the criminal, administrative offences and compliance practice at MFA Legal & Tech) and João Lima Cluny (partner at Garrigues) serving as vice-presidents.
The board also includes Diana Silva Pereira as secretary-general, alongside Ana Reis Mota, Tiago Monfort and Paulo Lacão as members. The General Assembly Board remains composed of Nuno Brandão as president and Catarina Amaro Martins as secretary. The Supervisory Board will be chaired by José Ricardo Gonçalves, with João de Castro Batista as first member and Ana Pais as second member.
The newly elected governing bodies succeed the previous Board led by Cláudia Amorim, partner at Sérvulo & Associados, as president, with João Matos Viana, partner at Morais Leitão, and Dirce Rente as vice-presidents.
During the meeting, the incoming board presented its activity plan for the term, with a focus on strengthening institutional relations, engaging in legislative policy and sectoral regulation, addressing issues related to the prison system, promoting training initiatives, fostering discussion forums and enhancing the visibility of Fórum Penal’s members.
