Auren appoints Carlos Rivadulla as technology law partner
Auren has appointed Carlos Rivadulla as a partner in its legal division, Auren Legal, as part of the firm’s ongoing expansion of its technology law practice.
Rivadulla joins from Écija and specialises in intellectual property, technology and artificial intelligence. He brings more than 25 years of experience advising national and international clients on matters related to the digital economy.
The profile
He holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona, a master’s degree in Information Technology and Intellectual Property from Columbia University, and has completed doctoral studies at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
During his career, he has worked at organisations including EY and Clifford Chance. His experience includes advising on intellectual property and technology matters and representing clients before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Rivadulla is also an arbitrator at the World Intellectual Property Organization and has participated as an expert in Spain’s AI Sandbox initiative under the Ministry for Digital Transformation. He has held board positions at Barcelona Activa and the Barcelona Institute of Technology.
In addition to his legal practice, he teaches at institutions including ISEM Fashion Business School, IE Business School, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid.
