KPMG Abogados hires Carmen Marull as partner


KPMG Abogados has hired Carmen Marull as partner in its People Services area in Barcelona, reinforcing the firm’s capabilities in labour, tax, compensation and international mobility advisory. The move comes at a time when companies are placing increasing focus on talent management, cross-border mobility and governance structures aligned with corporate strategy.

The profile

With more than 25 years of experience in professional services, including over 15 as partner, Carmen Marull has advised national and multinational groups on international mobility, compensation and benefits, and people and organisation matters. She previously developed her career at PwC and was among the founding partners of Vialto Partners Spain. Her practice focuses on executive advisory, supporting management committees and boards on tax, labour and corporate governance issues, as well as on the design of remuneration frameworks and HR transformation projects.

Her experience also covers total compensation schemes, talent processes, people analytics and diversity and inclusion initiatives across various industries. In addition to her advisory work, she lectures at business schools and professional institutions including Esade, CEF and UPF Barcelona School of Management. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universitat Pompeeu Fabra, a master’s degree in tax advisory from Instituto de Empresa, and completed the Executive Development Programme at Esade.

The Barcelona office People Services team, headed by Miguel Arias, is now formed by three partners and more than 60 professionals advising domestic and international clients on mobility, compensation structures and HR transformation projects.
