Cases & Lacambra welcomes Víctor Ferreres Comella as of counsel

Cases & Lacambra welcomes Víctor Ferreres Comella, previously a consulting lawyer at Uría Menéndez, as its new of counsel. He will combine his new position at the firm with his teaching work, mainly as a professor at Pompeu Fabra University and as a visiting professor at other institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin.

The arrival of Víctor Ferreres strengthens the firm’s position in strategic legal advice, especially in matters with an institutional and constitutional dimension. His knowledge of public and private law, as well as international law and arbitration, “will allow us to offer a cross-cutting vision that will enrich the work of the firm’s different practice areas,” the firm said in a statement.

Víctor Ferreres graduated with a law degree from the University of Barcelona and obtained his JSD from Yale Law School. He has been a visiting professor at several universities in the United States, including New York University and the University of Texas at Austin.

Between 2001 and 2011, he was a professor of Constitutional Law and European Union Law at the Judicial School, playing a key role in the training of judges, for which he received the Distinguished Cross of the Order of San Raimundo de Peñafort in 2012, awarded by the Ministry of Justice. He is also the author of numerous reference publications in Spanish and English. His research covers constitutional law, European Union law, and arbitration law.

Before joining Cases & Lacambra, Víctor Ferreres worked as a consulting lawyer at Uría Menéndez, focusing on his areas of expertise.
