Oakberry and Fortitude acquire Portuguese master franchise: advisors
CRS Advogados provided legal counsel to the Portuguese company holding the master franchise of Oakberry in Portugal, in an M&A transaction that resulted in the sale of that company to Oakberry itself and Fortitude Capital. The purchasers were advised by the Brazilian law firm IW Melcheds, acting as global counsel to Oakberry, with the support of the law firm Uría Menéndez. Fortitude Capital was represented by the law firm Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA).
The CRS Advogados team was led by partners Nuno Pereira da Cruz and Filipe Pereira Duarte (both pictured from left to right), with the collaboration of tax partner Raquel Galinha Roque, who advised the seller on the tax aspects of the transaction.
On Uría’s side, the deal was led by co-managing partner Antonio Villacampa and partner Joana Torres Ereio.
