Simmons & Simmons has hired Luis Valdenebro to lead the Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Spain

Simmons & Simmons has hired Luis Valdenebro, from Linklaters, as the new head of the Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Spain. With almost two decades of experience in advising international and domestic funds, financial institutions and corporations, Valdenebro is considered a leading lawyer in the field of financial distress, insolvency and asset recovery.

Luis Valdenebro

Valdenebro holds a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Valdenebro has spent his entire professional career at Linklaters, where he was counsel in the Dispute Resolution area.

His practice focuses on complex restructurings, execution of work-out strategies, asset recovery, and civil and M&A litigation related to insolvency processes. He has an extensive track record representing debt funds and distressed funds, as well as national and international financial institutions and large companies, combining in-depth technical knowledge with a strategic and results-oriented vision.

Since 2018, he has been a professor of Insolvency Law at Villanueva University and has participated as a speaker in various forums specialized in restructuring and complex litigation. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA Spain).
