Uría Menéndez partner Sergio Ponce passes away
Uría Menéndez has confirmed on its social networks the death, last Saturday, of labor and employment partner Sergio Ponce.

Ponce has been a member of Uría Menéndez for 23 years. He was named partner in 2014. Since joining the firm in 2002, he has focused his professional activity in the field of Labor and Social Security Law, in which he covers all areas of practice.
He had extensive experience in advising Spanish and foreign companies in the drafting and termination of employment contracts, especially senior management contracts, as well as in relation to labor issues arising in company acquisitions, mergers and restructuring transactions, and in outsourcing processes. He also intervenes in numerous employment regulation proceedings and collective bargaining.
The firm has communicated that “In all this time, he has been much more than an excellent lawyer: he has been a model as a person and an exceptional example of professionalism, integrity and companionship. Kind, polite, discreet and extraordinarily brilliant, Sergio was a magnificent jurist and a generous and close teacher for many young lawyers.”
