EY Abogados advised Alantra Private Equity in the acquisition of 13 dental laboratories

EY Abogados has advised Alantra Private Equity (Alantra) on the establishment and consolidation of the second largest group of dental laboratories in Spain through the acquisition and integration of thirteen companies specialized in this business.

Alantra PE is the pioneer and one of the leading private equity firms in the Iberian market with over 25 years heritage. Alantra PE  has articulated the transaction through its fourth venture capital fund, named Alantra PEF IV, which after several months in the fundraising process has managed to successfully raise commitments amounting to 340 million euros in its second closing.

Alantra will have a majority stake in the new platform, which adds revenues of 20 million euros, while the founders and directors of the laboratories remain in the project as minority partners of the new group. Said laboratories are specialized in dental prostheses, aesthetic treatments and orthodontics that stand out for their digital capabilities. Alantra’s target is to expand the platform to at least 25 laboratories in Spain and enter into other markets in Europe.
