Granada will host the XV Spanish Bar Associations Football Championship
Around 200 collegiate members from all over the country will meet in Granada from June 5 to 8 to play the XV Spanish Bar Association Football Championship, a sporting event that emerged in 1997 with the aim of being an integrating tournament for members of the professional collective, generating important bonds of friendship and synergies between colleagues who work in the same profession several hundred kilometers away.

However, despite the amateur nature of the championship, the tournament has the special collaboration of Granada C.F., as well as other important institutions, which will allow the players and their companions to enjoy professional level facilities and organization. In fact, the Ciudad Deportiva del Granada C.F., one of the most modern in Spain, will host the eight teams from all over Spain. Specifically, along with the host, the competition will feature teams from Madrid, Valencia, Cadiz, Oviedo, Bizkaia, Tenerife and Malaga.
“The meeting will undoubtedly be a magnificent opportunity to share sport, enjoy our beautiful city, its gastronomy, its wide cultural range and, above all, a good atmosphere among colleagues,” says Leandro Cabrera, dean of the Granada Bar Association, extending the thanks of the Corporation to Granada C.F. to the sponsors – Wiber, AON and Clínica Trauma Granada – and collaborating entities – Granada City Council, Gegsa, Barceló Congress, Alsa, Auditorio Manuel de Falla, Sala Aliatar and Aramark.
As for the competition format, the draw for the matches will take place at the opening ceremony, which will be held at the Manuel de Falla Auditorium on June 5. Then, the teams will face each other in a group stage from June 6, culminating the championship on Saturday June 8 with the expected final and the closing gala in Sala Aliatar.
