Grant Thornton Supports Morabanc’s Bitcoin Fund Launch
Grant Thornton‘s Digital Assets and Web 3 Consulting team, led by partner Raúl López, has closely collaborated with Andorran bank Morabanc to launch an investment fund in Andorra called the Mora Bitcoin Fund, targeting qualified investors to invest in Bitcoin through a collective investment vehicle.
This fund is the first product to emerge from Morabanc’s Digital Assets division and enables “in-kind” investment with reliable and secure custody of the underlying digital asset, according to Morabanc.
Additionally, Grant Thornton’s consulting team has facilitated the launch of the first custody and trading service for digital assets for clients in Andorra, starting with specialized services for high-net-worth individuals. Clients will have access to a secure and protected environment to store their digital investments and assets, ensuring their integrity and security through cutting-edge digital asset custody technology.
These initiatives were unveiled at the recent “Technology and Innovation in Digital Asset Management” event organized by Morabanc in Andorra la Vella, featuring Raúl López, who shared insights on the present and future of digital asset projects.
For nearly a decade, Grant Thornton has been pioneering digital asset services, developing projects ranging from digital asset tokenization and digital identity to security, regulation, and compliance across multiple sectors. Led by partner Raúl López, the team comprises over 15 professionals, with Carol Lago, Iñigo García de la Mata, and Alfredo Muñoz serving as key members of this trailblazing team in Spain’s digital asset and Web 3 consulting space.
