Elzaburu’s turnover in 2023 reaches 25.5 million euros, an increase of 10.7%
Elzaburu has reached a revenue of 25.5 million euros in 2023, 10.7% more than in the previous year.
The 43.3% of the turnover has been obtained in Spain, while the remaining percentage (56.6%) corresponds to the income from services provided to clients located in other countries.

Revenues of 25.5 million euros
According to Alfonso Diez de Rivera Elzaburu, president of the firm, “during the past year we had a considerable growth in the traditional business of trademarks and patents and a significant development of emerging areas in the protection of intangibles, such as civil and criminal litigation, audiovisual, data protection and new technologies”.
Within these new areas of advice, Elzaburu launched a new Innovation Finance department in 2023 to help its clients find the best financing formulas for their R&D&I projects, as well as to optimise the tax and regulatory treatment in the management of their intellectual property and other intangible assets.
For Mabel Klimt, managing partner of the firm, “the good results of the past year confirm the success of our strategy of focusing our activity on the client and putting their needs at the centre of our value proposition to optimise the management of their intangible assets”. Elzaburu’s client portfolio includes 34% of IBEX 35 companies and a similar proportion of the 50 largest Fortune 500 companies.
Talent
Elzaburu is headquartered in the Torre de Cristal in Madrid, with offices in Valencia, Alicante and Beijing. It currently has 13 partners, three of whom are women (23%), and a total of 183 employees, of whom 55 are lawyers and another 15 are engineers and chemists.
The firm has 8 European patent agents, 14 European trademark agents, 14 IP agents and 4 WIPO arbitrators and works with the four largest national patent applicants, as well as with several of the Spanish applicants for European patents.
