De Castro Abogados hires Mercedes Ruiz-Rico from Auren
De Castro Abogados, the boutique law firm specializing in complex litigation, has welcomed Mercedes Ruiz-Rico (pictured right) and her team from Auren Legal as new additions. Ruiz-Rico, who joins as a partner, brings her extensive experience to the firm founded by José Luis de Castro (pictured centre) and led by Ana Rodríguez Costas (pictured second from left), alongside team members including lawyer Irene Sorribas (pictured left).
The team led by Ruiz-Rico and Sorribas has a wealth of experience in civil and commercial litigation, particularly in various aspects of banking and real estate law. They have been actively involved in defending fundamental rights related to honor, personal and family privacy, and personal image through both judicial and extrajudicial procedures.
This significant addition comes just five months after De Castro Abogados announced the opening of its office in Malaga, a city and region experiencing economic growth and garnering attention in the legal sector. The Malaga office includes Francisco Romero Román and Miguel Beltrán de Felipe as advisors, and Carlos Álvarez, Jorge Rincón, and Manuel Garrido as lawyers.
De Castro Abogados highlights that the reinforcement with Ruiz-Rico will enable them to continue providing services in the fields of arbitration and complex litigation, where they have gained notable recognition in the legal market.
Additionally, the firm aims to expand its areas of specialization and intensify its activity in professional assignments that have distinguished this litigation boutique in recent years, such as formulating and processing extraordinary appeals before the First and Third Chambers of the Supreme Court, appeals for protection before the Constitutional Court, annulment appeals before the General Court of the European Union (Luxembourg), and lawsuits for the protection of fundamental rights before the European Court of Human Rights (Strasbourg).
