GA_P Advises Cepsa on its Joint Venture with Bio-Oils

Cepsa and Bio-Oils begin the construction on the largest 2G biofuels plant in southern Europe with investment of 1.2 billion euros. The legal team at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo played a pivotal role in advising Cepsa on its groundbreaking joint venture with Bio-Oils for the construction of the largest second-generation biorefinery in Southern Europe. This transformative project entails a substantial investment of €1.2 billion.

Representing a key milestone in Cepsa’s PositiveMotion strategy, the venture aims to position Cepsa as a European leader in the field of green molecules. This strategic move aligns with the company’s ambition to spearhead second-generation biorefuel production in Spain and Portugal. This facility will also enable the development of other key projects to reposition Spain and Andalusia in the international energy landscape.
