CMS advises on the acquisition of Resolve Salvage and Fire (Gibraltar)
CMS Albiñana & Suárez has advised Boluda Towage, a world leader in port towage and maritime services, in the acquisition of the company Resolve Salvage & Fire (Gibraltar) Limited, specialized in port towage services in the Strait of Gibraltar, which until now was a subsidiary of the U.S. maritime group Resolve Marine.
With this operation, the Boluda Group strengthens its tugboat division, in which it is already a world leader, by adding four new tugboats to its fleet.
Two divisions are part of the sale: the company’s harbor towage operations and fleet were sold to Boluda Towage Europe, and the marine services business to Elias Tapiero of ORC Marine.
The team advising on the transaction was led by co-managing partner César Albiñana, partner Ignacio Cerrato, of counsel Antonio Pino and paralegal Pilar Sánchez del Río, all from the corporate/M&A area.
