Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho advises on the acquisition of Belaudição
Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho has advised MCH Private Equity (MCH) on the acquisition of Belaudição, owner of the brand AudiçãoActiva, a leading retailer of hearing aid solutions in Portugal, with around 50 hearing aid shops and revenues of around 35 million euros in 2022.
The firm team that advised MCH on the transaction was headed by Antonio Villacampa (partner, M&A) and Catarina Tavares Loureiro (partner, M&A) and included António Castro e Caldas (partner, Tax), Tânia Faria (counsel, competition), José António Reymão Nogueira (senior associate, banking and finance), Josep Moreno (senior associate, M&A) and Belén García (junior associate, M&A).
The signing of the transaction took place on 28 June 2023, following a due diligence process and negotiations that lasted a few months, and the closing is expected to take place by September, once the suspensive conditions provided for in the SPA have been verified.
The seller, the Danish GN, was advised by Vieira de Almeida and Alantra acted as financial advisor in the transaction.
