Giménez-Salinas Abogados signs Jacobo Baltar as new partner
Giménez-Salinas Abogados has signed Jacobo Baltar (pictured centre) as partner in charge of Banking and Finance.
With more than 20 years of experience, Baltar joins the firm with the aim of strengthening the banking and finance area and will put a special focus on regulatory, corporate and asset finance, sustainability, Fintech and Web3.
The new partner at Giménez-Salinas is a lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Financial Markets Law at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) and has been an associate lecturer in Financial Markets Law at the Universidad Carlos III.
He has also practised as a lawyer in firms such as Baker McKenzie, Garrigues, Uría Menéndez and Linares Abogados, in the latter as a partner. He has also been a member of the board of directors of several financial institutions in Spain and Luxembourg.
“He is of great value for his high level of international expertise in the banking and financial sector. The whole team is very excited about his incorporation, he will be key to the firm’s growth in this area,” said the mananging partner, Juan Carlos Giménez-Salinas.
