DWF-RCD appoints eight new partners
DWF-RCD has appointed eight new partners for internal promotion, bringing the total number of partners nationwide to 48. They are (pictured above from left to right): Bernad Afonso (insolvency), Javier Calzada (commercial), Cristina Díaz-Malnero (family), Xavier Fàbrega (intellectual property), Francesc García (tax), Alberto Ouro (innovation and entrepreneurship), Antonio Rosselló (entrepreneurship) and Cristian Valcárcel (insolvency).
These appointments represent the second major corporate move by DWF-RCD this year, after they announced in april the opening of their Seville office, their fourth office in Spain, following Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia.
“The appointment of new partners for internal promotion is a source of great pride for us, as it reflects our founding spirit of commitment to talent and meritocracy,” said Adolf Rousaud, co-managing partner of the firm.
The profiles
Cristina Díaz-Malnero has been a family lawyer and mediator for almost 20 years, and has been involved in all types of proceedings related to family law, minors, incapacity and inheritance.
Xaver Fàbrega is an expert in industrial and intellectual property, unfair competition, domain names and trade secrets, and advises clients, both national and international, on the development, protection, management and defence of their rights in these areas, both in administrative proceedings and in litigation.
Javier Calzada specialises in commercial law, with specific knowledge of M&A, the stock market and the sale and purchase of companies, as well as national and international contracts and investments.
Francesc García is a tax expert, with extensive knowledge of corporate tax, tax consolidation, family business, succession planning and corporate reorganisations.
Bernard Afonso and Cristian Valcárcel have years of experience in insolvency law. Afonso specialises in the field of prevention, restructuring and insolvency and provides advice on viability plans, claims and insolvency agreements, redundancy procedures, sale and purchase of production units, sale and purchase of companies, corporate valuations and economic appraisals, among others.
Valcárcel is an expert in the field of prevention, restructuring and insolvency proceedings, and is regularly appointed as mediator and insolvency administrator.
On the other hand, Alberto Ouro and Antoni Roselló specialise in the field of entrepreneurship. Ouro has a long career advising on the regulatory and public law aspects of the legislation that applies to innovation, technology transfer and research results.
Rosselló works with domestic and multinational companies, and mainly technology-based entrepreneurs and start-ups.
