Uría advises Cerealto Siro on its recapitalisation and debt restructuring

Uría Menédez has advised Grupo Cerealto Siro on its recapitalisation and debt restructuring.
Founded in 1991, Cerealto Siro is a multinational company in the agri-food industry sector, resulting from the merger in 2018 of the Siro Group and its international subsidiary Cerealto. It has its headquarters in Palencia and its commercial office in Madrid.

By this deal, the lenders of the existing debt assign in favour of Davidson Kempner Capital Management and Afendis Capital Management, as investors. With the exception of certain financial debt, which was assumed by the firm and will be repaid from the proceeds of the sale of a number of non-business related assets; the capitalisation by the investors of the acquired debt; and the injection by the investors of additional funds into the company.
