MAIO Legal advises Elona on seven photovoltaic projects
Elona Capital, advised by Spanish law firm MAIO Legal, has reached an agreement with EnerHi to co-develop a portfolio of projects of up to 750 MW that will serve Elona Capital to provide projects to its first Infrastructure Fund. The project involves a total investment of more than €500 million.
The co-development agreement covers seven greenfield photovoltaic (PV) projects located in six different provinces. The ultimate goal of both companies is the promotion, construction and, ultimately, the commissioning and operation of these facilities.
Both firms share the objectives of energy transition and consider that renewable energy generation is fundamental in the process of decarbonisation of economic activity. Furthermore, they understand that the generation through renewable sources represents a great opportunity for the socio-economic development of those areas of our country that suffer the consequences of depopulation.
Elona Capital is an investment and asset management company specialised in the PV renewable energy sector in Spain and Portugal. The MAIO Legal team advising the firm was formed by the professionals of the Energy area, César Álvarez (pictured left) and Crina Radu (pictured right).
