Latham advises Quadriga on acquisition of two Automation companies

Latham & Watkins has advised Quadriga Capital on the acquisition of two Spanish Automation companies

pjimage 2022 01 03T101704.564Latham & Watkins has advised Quadriga Capital and its German portfolio company SCIO Automation GmbH, on the acquisition of the Spanish intralogistics systems companies Modumaq Soluciones Tecnológicas, S.L. and Automatización Tecnológica y Mantenimiento, S.L. and the subsequent reinvestment by the sellers in the new structure.

“This transaction will allow SCIO Automation to expand its international presence and to grow its customer base in Spain and Latin America,” said a spokesperson in a statement.

The cross-border Latham team was co-led by Frankfurt Corporate partner Leif Schrader and Madrid Corporate counsel Luis Lozano (pictured right), with Madrid Corporate associate Marino Aineto. Advice was also provided on Tax matters by Madrid partner Iván Rabanillo (pictured left) and associate Juan Rodríguez. The acquisition marks the seventh transaction on which the firm has advised Quadriga Capital, as it continues to build an industrial automation platform.

EY Abogados (EY) advised the owners of Modumaq Soluciones Tecnológicas, S.L. and Automatización Tecnológica y Mantenimiento, S.L. with a team led by Francisco Javier Silván, with Corporate lawyers Carmen Esteban and Jorge Manuel Garin.
