Cuatrecasas assists Opdenergy in a €700m PV deal

Cuatrecasas has advised Opdenergy on its sale of more than 1,000 megawatts of solar power to Bruc Energy

Spanish renewable energy developer Opdenergy has sold more than 1,000 megawatts of solar power to green energy manager Bruc Energy in a corporate transaction that strengthens its structure.

This project sale of more than 1,000 MW is valued at more than €700 million and will provide Opdenergy with the financial resources to consolidate its growth in photovoltaic energy project development, consolidating a project portfolio of more than 1,500 MW in Spain, the United States, Mexico, Italy and Chile.

Opdenergy will develop the projects until the final execution phase, which is scheduled for the second half of 2022. The solar plants are located in the provinces of Cádiz, Zaragoza, Valladolid, Burgos, Teruel, Seville and Soria.
