COAPI appoints Balder partner Inmaculada de la Haza as president
The Official Association of Industrial Property Agents (COAPI) has announced the appointment of Inmaculada de la Haza as president
She is the first woman in this role in the organisation in its circa 100-year history. Inmaculada has been an Industrial Property Agent since 2011 and is a partner of BALDER IP Law.
The Official Association of Industrial Property Agents (COAPI) will officially appoint Inmaculada de la Haza as president on March 17. As a result, and following the planned appointments by the Board of Directors, the Board will be made up of four women, including the president and vice president, and seven men.
Inmaculada de la Haza (pictured) is a partner of Balder and head of the firm´s national and international Trademark department. She is an Industrial Property Agent since 2011 and specialised in Industrial Property more than 15 years ago. Before presenting her candidacy as president of the COAPI, de la Haza held the position of vice president and head of the association´s Training area and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2014.
Prior to joining BALDER, Inmaculada was parliamentary assistant to the first vice president of the Spanish Congress and a Litigation Law lecturer at the Universidad CEU San Pablo. She holds a Law degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Inmaculada de la Haza stated: “My appointment as president of the Industrial Property Association signifies a new stage in the institution and is a true reflection of the challenges facing the profession, marked by the changes we are experiencing both in society and in the business world.
