Heineken instructs PLMJ on Mozambique factory project

PLMJ has acted for Heineken on a factory project in Manhica, Mozambique.

 

The firm advised the drinks company on a range of matters related to international investment, real estate, construction, employment, labour, tax, public and administrative law, commercial law and the management of distribution contracts.

Construction of the factory began on 4 December, with completion scheduled for the summer of 2019.

The PLMJ team was by partner Nuno Morais Sarmento, who was assisted by managing associate Marta Pedro. Heineken was also advised by Tomás Timbane, founding partner of TTA Advogados, which is a member of PLMJ Network.

Timbane said: “At a difficult time for the country’s economy, this international investment project is an important highlight for Mozambique.”
