Platina instructs Watson Farley & Williams on Tagoro power plant restructuring
Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) acted for energy fund Platina Partners on the financial restructuring of its Tagoro Energías Renovables photovoltaic plant.
The plant – located in Arico in the Canary Islands – has a total installed capacity of 9.4MW.
The restructuring involved refinancing of the plant by lenders including Banco Santander. The lenders were advised by Uría Menéndez.
A WFW statement said the restructuring “ensures the project’s long‐term viability under the current Spanish renewables regulatory framework and strengthens Platina’s Spanish operations”.
The WFW team was led by Madrid office head and corporate partner María Pilar García Guijarro, and included senior associates José María Anarte and Esther González. Partner David Diez and associate Lidia Fernández advised on regulatory matters.
