Linklaters advises ProA Capital on acquisition of VIPS stake

Linklaters advised Spain’s ProA Capital on the acquisition of a 30 per cent stake in Grupo VIPS.

 

The stake was acquired from Goldman Sachs Capital Partners. Grupo VIPS was advised by Garrigues and Uría Menéndez on the deal, according to Mergermarket.

In 2015, Grupo VIPS’ turnover was €377.6 million.

Grupo Vips manages a total of ten brands, some of which it owns and some it operates through franchising agreements. It has six chains in Spain and Portugal: Vips (cafeteria and shop), VIPSmart, Ginos, The WOK, Starbucks and Fridays.
