Youandlaw advises Floatech on its €1 million convertible loan

Floatech, a startup specializing in 100% silicon anodes for next-generation batteries, has successfully closed a €1 million funding round to accelerate the industrial rollout of its groundbreaking technology and the development of new advanced battery products. The investment round was led by Grow Venture Partners, with participation from Big Sur Ventures, Suma Capital, CDTI Innvierte, and Banco Sabadell through its BStartup program.

Headquartered in Getafe (Madrid), the company has developed a cutting-edge solution that replaces traditional graphite in batteries with pure silicon, enabling energy storage up to ten times higher than conventional systems.

In just over a year, Floatech has evolved from a lab-stage project to operating at an industrial level, establishing a pilot plant at the TecnoGetafe Technology Park and assembling a highly specialized technical team. The startup is now considered one of Europe’s most promising players in the race to develop sustainable, high-performance batteries.

The legal advisory throughout the transaction was handled by Youandlaw. Lawyers Isabel Gonzalo and partner Pablo Casado led the advisory, ensuring a seamless process aligned with Floatech’s growth trajectory.
