WFW counsels Kommunalkredit on PV project financing

Watson Farley & Williams has advised Kommunalkredit Austria AG on the financing for the construction of an 89 MW photovoltaic portfolio of two solar plants in Ciudad Real (Spain) managed by Nexwell Power

The loan was granted to the owners of the two plants. The transaction was closed on August 8.

Kommunalkredit, based in Vienna, is an investment bank focused on developing sustainable infrastructure to improve people’s quality of life. Nexwell Power is a UK-based company that acquires, builds and operates solar photovoltaic plants, mainly in Spain, with the aim of expanding into other OECD markets.

The WFW´s Madrid Finance team advising Kommunalkredit was led by partner Rodrigo Berasategui (pictured left), with the support of senior associate Juan Vicente Barquilla (pictured top right) and associate Antón Ramil (pictured bottom right).
