Watson Farley & Williams advises Santander on $202m financing of Peruvian gas production unit

Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) advised a banking syndicate led by Banco Santander on the $202 million financing of a new production unit for Refinería la Pampilla, a subsidiary of Repsol Peru.

Banco Santander structured and led the financing, with the other members of the syndicate being BBVA, CACIB, Commerzbank, Intesa San Paolo and Banco Sabadell.

The new production unit will produce low sulfur gasoline at the refinery in Peru.

The multijurisdictional WFW team was led by partner Rodrigo Berasategui, and also included associate Juan Vicente Barquilla, both of whom are based in the firm’s Madrid office. A team from local Peruvian firm Miranda & Amado, led by partner José Miguel Puiggros, assisted WFW.
