Vanesa Alarcón, new signing at AGM for the new IP & TMT area

AGM Abogados has signed Vanesa Alarcón Caparrós, former partner of Ecija, as new partner of the new Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) and Intellectual Property (IP) area of the firm.

Vanesa, a lawyer with a degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a Master’s Degree in Technology and Intellectual Property Law from ESADE, has 20 years of experience in the field of technology and intellectual property. “Her solid academic background and extensive professional career make her a recognised expert in her field,” the firm said.

Throughout her career, Vanesa has worked for several prestigious consultancies and law firms. She founded her own firm specialising in Technology and Intellectual Property in digital environments, leading it for more than a decade. Subsequently, she decided to join larger international firms such as Fieldfisher Jausàs or Ecija, where she held the position of TMT Partner. Her experience in these firms has allowed her to broaden her international perspective and consolidate her leadership in the sector.

Vanesa collaborates with several universities, such as the European University, ISDE, the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS) and the Carlos III University, teaching classes related to her speciality. He also participates in the Master’s Degree in the Information Society of the Barcelona Bar Association, where he is a member of the Technology section. Previously, she was also a member of the Intellectual Property Section. Vanesa is also associated with organisations such as ENATIC, DENAE and the IAPP, and actively collaborates with the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia.

She is passionate about advising clients applying innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, Blockchain, NFTs and quantum computing, among others, as well as any company that needs to face digital challenges.
