Uría announces record revenues of €192.1m
Uría Menéndez has announced that revenue totalled €192.1 million in 2014, a record for the firm.
The figure represented a 3.6 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
The firm said that, due to the favourable economic climate, workload in all practice areas and in all of its offices had been substantial.
Last year, the firm announced it had taken a 30 per cent stake in a Latin American law firm spanning Chile and Colombia – Philippi, Prietocarrizosa & Uría began operations on 1 January, 2015.
The firm appointed six new partners at the start of this year: Gloria Marín Benítez (tax), Pedro Ravina Martín (corporate) and Patricia Vidal Martínez (EU and Competition) in the Madrid office; Eduardo Bagaría Mateos and José Soria Sorjús (corporate) in the Barcelona office; and Nuno Salazar Casanova (litigation) in the Lisbon office.
José María Segovia Cañadas and Luis de Carlos Bertran have been re-elected as president and managing partner respectively for a further four years.
