Top ten law firms by revenue in 2025: Spain exclusive preview
Ahead of the official release of Iberian Lawyer’s annual ranking of Spain’s top 50 law firms, preliminary figures confirm that the country’s major players have strengthened their positions. The Spanish legal market maintained its upward trajectory in 2025, confirming the resilience of the country’s leading law firms and the continued strength of demand for high-value advisory, transactional and regulatory work. . Although the 2025 top ten includes the same firms as in 2024, the order within the ranking has changed. The most significant development is PwC Tax & Legal’s move into third place, marking the first time in this ranking that a Big Four firm has broken into the podium positions. For the leading independent Spanish firms, 2025 also brought further progress on the international front, with several players reporting stronger global revenues alongside their domestic growth.
Once again, Garrigues remains firmly at the top of the Spanish legal market, with domestic revenue rising to €437.15 million in 2025, up 4.3% year-on-year. The result confirms the firm’s ability to deliver steady expansion from an already dominant base. At global level, the firm reached a new record of €527.69 million, up 9.5%, with international revenues climbing to €90.54 million and accounting for 17.16% of total turnover.
In second place, Cuatrecasas recorded revenue of €347.68 million, representing a 1.2% increase on 2024. The firm continues to consolidate its position as the second-largest player in Spain, supported by sustained growth across its core practice areas. At global level the firm reached 447,10 million compared to 436.12 of 2024.
PwC Tax & Legal moves into third place in the ranking, with domestic revenue of €247.0 million in 2025, up 7.4% year-on-year. This result allows the firm to overtake Uría Menéndez and further consolidates its position as the leading multidisciplinary player in the Spanish legal market. PwC Tax & Legal’s move onto the podium is particularly notable, underscoring the increasing competitive strength of the Big Four in Spain’s legal market.
Uría Menéndez therefore slips to fourth place, despite increasing domestic revenue to €243.64 million in 2025, up 5.5% from the previous year. At international level, the firm reached €308.78 million in 2025, compared with €295.48 million in 2024.
Taken together, the five Spanish-headquartered firms in the top ten generated €1.28 billion in domestic revenue in 2025, rising to €1.60 billion at global level once their international business is included.

The ‘Big Four’
The professional services firms once again reinforced their weight in the Spanish legal market, with PwC Tax & Legal breaking into the top three in 2025. Close behind, EY Abogados moved ahead of Deloitte Legal, posting €233.10 million in revenue, up 9.0%, and confirming a solid and consistent expansion trajectory. The firm continues to benefit from strong performances in compliance, regulatory and transactional advisory work. Its strong growth has also been supported by an active lateral hiring strategy, with several notable additions in recent months, further reinforcing the sense that EY could be one of the firms to watch in the coming year.
Deloitte Legal climbed to €227.3, also posting 5.8% growth. Although the extraordinary surge seen in 2024 has moderated, the firm still delivered one of the strongest absolute increases in the market.
Completing the Big Four, KPMG Abogados reached €191.60 million, an increase of 10.1% compared with 2024, making it the fastest-growing firm within this group in percentage terms.
The bottom of the top 10
Among the firms ranked from eighth to tenth, Pérez-Llorca delivered the strongest growth performance in the entire top ten. The firm increased domestic revenue to €155.80 million, up 16.6% year-on-year, significantly outperforming the rest of the market and further narrowing the gap with the firms above it. Its international ambitions were equally evident: in 2025, Pérez-Llorca reported pro forma global revenue of €211.3 million, up 28%, with Portugal, Mexico and Colombia contributing a combined €55.5 million, or 26% of total global turnover.
By contrast, Baker McKenzie posted a more modest rise, with revenue edging up to €116.00 million, a 0.9% increase on 2024, suggesting a substantially flatter year after the stronger momentum recorded previously.
Rounding out the ranking, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo grew to €94.00 million, up 6.1%, maintaining a solid pace and consolidating its place in Spain’s top ten law firms by revenue. At global level, the firm reached €105.9 million in 2025, up 5.8%, while its international business continued to expand, with the Lisbon and London offices posting double-digit growth.
